Continue ReadingThis is a traditional PU 5’8″ bonzer shape made for a good friend of mine who goes by the name Church, and happens to be a really good artist and art professor. He ‘s been using interference (color shifting) pigments with his paints and thought they would look cool on a board. The final result didn’t have as much ‘shifting’ as we thought, but it sparkled real nice. The color used was mink and would change from a reddish brown to a ice bluish. The fins were also tinted with bluish interference pigments.
Continue ReadingRecently modified the Agave and Poplar single fin. The owner wanted to see how the double concave it had would work with the extra drive bonzer style side fins could provide. We’ll see how it goes. As a side note the Fluid Earth center fin reportedly worked great, but I think it will be opted out for a bonzer style center fin with the new setup.
Continue ReadingThis is my recent take on a five fin bonzer design. This is my personal board and I got to use it over in the islands and during the devil wind period here in california. The fin in the photos isn’t the one I used. It’s a 6″ Dobson that felt a bit small and was quickly replaced by a 7″ True Ames proper bonzer fin. Amazing drive and a great barrel rider. Campbell brothers birthed a truly great design.
